Brachial Plexus arise from C 5.6.7.8 and T1 nerve root.

If C4 nerve root involve with brachial plexus then its called Prefixed plexus

If T2 nerve root involve with brachial plexus then it's called postfixed.

Branches of the Root :

1.Nerve to Serratus Anterior / Long Thoracic nerve (C 5.6.7)

2.Nerve to Rhomboids / Dorsal Scapular nerve (C 5)

Branches of the trunk :

1.Suprascapular nerve (C 5.6)

2.Nerve to subclavius (C 5.6)

Branches of the cord

a.Branches of lateral cord

1.Lateral pectoral C 5.6.7
2.Musculocutaneous C 5.6.7
3.Lateral root of median nerve. C 5.6.7

2.Medial Cutaneous nerve of arm C8 and T1
3.Medial Cutaneous netve of forearm C8 and T1
4.Ulner nerve  C7.8 and T1
5.Median root of Median  C8 and T1

c.Branches of posterior cord

1.Upper subscapular nerve. C 5.6
2.Lower subscapular nerve. C 5.6
